Missing man's body found in Bayou

A body was found floating in a bayou in northwest Houston on Saturday, and authorities have identified it as a missing man.

The discovery was made Saturday afternoon near West Gulf Bank Rd. at North Houston Rosslyn Rd.

Police said the body was that of a 40-year-old Latino man. Authorities have not released his name, but some of his family members were at the scene.

He was found face-down in the bayou after being missing for three days.

According to officials, the man was known to frequent the area and fished in the bayou, but he had no fishing equipment with him.

There were some injuries to the body, but his cause of death is unknown at this time.
