Police say according to witnesses, the victim was standing in a moving lane of traffic in the 4400 block of the West Sam Houston Parkway about 2:30am on Saturday when he was struck by a gray Chevrolet Suburban. The victim was then struck a second time by another vehicle of unknown make or model. Police say neither driver stopped to help the victim, who died at the scene.
The male victim, 23, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
