A fire truck caught fire in southwest Houston overnight.

It happened on the Beltway at Olympia around 11pm. The ladder truck was responding to a call. The crew jumped out and put the fire out. No one was hurt.

Firefighters say it appears the truck's gas line had a leak and caught fire. As this was happening, the driver of a van collided with a car, nearly hitting a deputy constable who was directing traffic. The driver of the van was arrested on suspicion of being drunk.
