At around 11am Thursday, Alvin police say two burglary suspects led law enforcement on a brief chase in the Alvin and Pearland area. The chase ended at a mobile home park in the Pine Colony subdivision off CR 712 and CR 541. According to police, the suspects may have hit at least one other vehicle during the chase.
The passenger in the suspect's vehicle was apprehended almost immediately, but the driver ran into one of the mobile homes and wouldn't surrender, police say, so SWAT was called in. Police didn't know why the suspect ran into that particular residence.
According to police, the suspect was eventually taken into custody. No shots were fired.
Alvin police say the suspect was transported to the hospital for injuries he suffered during the chase.
