Police: Amputee shot at NE Houston park

Police are investigating a fatal shooting at Finnegan Park in northeast Houston.

It happened around 11am near the basketball courts at the park, which is on Coke Street.

According to police, the victim is an amputee with one leg. He was shot five times.

The victim was rushed to Ben Taub General Hospital. He was pronounced dead just after 12:15pm.

Police have not established a motive and they do not have a suspect in custody, but they say they have a good idea of who the shooter was.
