It happened around 7:25pm on West Airport near Brook Valley. Investigators say a stranger approached the victim as he was sitting in his garage with two other people. Police say the man walked up and asked for drugs.
When the victim replied he did not have any, the unknown suspect pulled out a gun and fired several times at the victim. The victim, who suffered at least one gunshot wound to the torso, ran down the driveway before collapsing. He died at the scene.
The suspect then fled the scene. Police say he is described only as a black male, approximately 20 years old, about 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing about 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray T-shirt, green shorts and a black hat.
