According to the Houston Fire Department, the man was doing roof work on Spring Forest Middle School in the 14200 block of Memorial Dr.
Around 10am, the worker fell off the roof.
Officials said he dropped 25 feet to his death.
All construction workers who are working hgher than six feet are supposed to be harnessed, officials said. The victim was not.
OSHA will be investigating the fall and an autopsy will be performed to confirm cause of death.
The worker's identity has not yet been released.
