Armed robber hits bank inside NW Houston Walmart

FBI detectives are searching for the armed robber who hit a bank inside a northwest Houston Walmart on Friday afternoon and took off in the car pictured above.

FBI detectives are searching for the armed robber who hit a bank located inside a Walmart in northwest Houston Friday afternoon.

The robbery happened around 2:34pm Friday at the Woodforest National Bank inside the Walmart in the 3400 block of FM 1960, according to the Houston FBI Bank Robbery Task Force. The man, armed with a black semi-automatic pistol, approached a teller and demanded cash.

The bandit took some money from the teller and was last seen leaving the area in a white, older model Buick Regal with no license plates.

No one was physically hurt during the robbery.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned black or Hispanic male, who's about 5 feet 6 inches tall, and weighs between 160 and 180 pounds. He had short black hair and tattoos on his forearm. He was wearing a large white tee-shirt, dark long shorts and a dark baseball cap with a sticker on the bill.
