Strip center in NW Houston catches fire

Several business sustained fire and water damage at a shopping center in northwest Houston.

A shopping center in northwest Houston caught fire early this morning.

Firefighters were called to the center on 43rd near Oak Forest just before 5am. An H &R Block, a donut shop and a Baskin Robbins were all in flames when firefighters arrived. Smoke filled the entire strip center.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is unknown, arson will investigate.
