A driver was stopped for speeding along the feeder road of the West Loop near Evergreen. The officer noticed discrepancies in the vehicle registration and called for a K-9 unit.
That's when they found a stash of marijuana inside the fuel tank of the truck. In all, they recovered 234 pounds of marijuana packaged in bricks. Arturo Valdes, 46, of Laredo, is charged with marijuana possession.
