Man, nephew arrested in drug bust in Richmond

RICHMOND, TX

During the early morning hours of August 25, the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office say drug agents conducted an orchestrated raid in the 1400 block of Center Street in Richmond. Agents said the search netted a half ounce of cocaine ready to be cooked, 55 crack rocks that had just been manufactured, 45 grams of marijuana, $4,000 cash and several firearms.

Deputies say they also found drug contraband indicative of manufacturing, packaging and distributing illegal narcotics at the residence.

The investigation was initiated after numerous complaints were received by nearby neighbors.

Joe Lewis Taylor, 61, was charged with manufacturing/delivery of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana. His bond has been set at $200,500.

Anthony Ray Taylor, 43, was charged with manufacturing/delivery of a controlled substance, three counts of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of marijuana. His total bond is $260,500.

Both suspects are still in custody in the Fort Bend County Jail.
