Body found on train in downtown Houston

HOUSTON

Officials said Sandra Gotch was reported missing on July 20. According to police, her body was found August 10 at 100 Saint Charles St. She was lying dead on a Union Pacific Railroad engine train in the conductor's seat.

Investigators said there were no obvious signs of trauma. They are still waiting on an autopsy to determine Gotch's cause of death.

Police interviewed family members and people in the neighborhood. Witnesses told detectives they saw Gotch walking around the neighborhood. She appeared distressed, they said.

A family member told Eyewitness News that Gotch was employed as a nurse practitioner. They have turned over additional evidence to police in an effort to help solve the case, but it remains under investigation.
