Suspicious wildfire under investigation

HOUSTON

Six homes were damaged in the blaze, which broke out around 3:30pm Saturday.

Fire crews from more than 10 fire departments and the Texas Forest Service battled the large wildfire.

Units from the Aldine Fire Department arrived first and discovered about 25 acres on fire, but officials said the dry conditions and strong winds caused it to spread quickly.

There were no injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation by the Harris County Fire Marshal's Office.

Anyone with information on this fire is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS. All tipsters remain anonymous and could be eligible for a reward of up to $5,000.
