Medical examiner: No foul play in inmate's death

LUBBOCK, TX

The death of 30-year-old Micah Aaron Garner June 6 in the Gregg County jail was the second in the facility in less than six months.

The Longview News-Journal (http://bit.ly/nrVLcM) reported Thursday that the Tarrant County medical examiner has ruled Garner's cause of death as "nocturnal adult death."

Toxicology tests revealed a low level of methamphetamine in Garner's blood, but the medical examiner said it wasn't enough to kill him.

Garner had been in the jail for three days after being charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle and forgery of a financial instrument when he was found unresponsive in a medical holding cell.
