A man died at an apartment complex in southeast Houston, and police say his killer has not been identified.

Investigators with the Houston Police Department still have not figured out if the man was shot or stabbed to death.

According to officials, it happened around 2:15am Sunday at Belvedere Apartments on Winkler Dr. at Meadowbrook. Police believe an altercation erupted inside the victim's apartment.

After the attack, the victim was able to make it outside to his vehicle. Police said he tried to drive away, but he couldn't.

An ambulance arrived to rush him to an area hospital, but he died on the way.

"[We have] no idea whether it was involving a dispute, whether it was over money, narcotics or anything. We just have no clue at this time," said Ofc. Lewis Carballo with HPD Homicide.

Investigators are looking to speak to the man who was inside the apartment with the victim. They are not sure if that man is a witness or if he was involved in the incident.
