Man shot during home invasion in Crosby

Deputies are investigating a violent home invasion in east Harris County.

It happened around 12am Saturday at a home on Macbeth near Loch Lomond in the Crosby area.

Harris County Sheriff's Office deputies said three or four masked men forced their way into the home.

Three people were inside.

According to officials, the suspects shot one person in the chest and pistol whipped someone else.

The third person inside the house escaped through a window and wasn't hurt.

The shooting victim was transported to an area hospital with a collapsed lung, officials said. At last check, that person was stable.

Deputies said the suspects are still on the loose.

The intruders were heard speaking Spanish, but their names and vehicle description are unknown at this time.
