Two rescued from crash on Katy Freeway

HOUSTON

It happened around 2:30am Sunday on the Katy Freeway at Silber.

Officials said the driver of a sports utility vehicle was trying to exit at Silber but missed the ramp.

The vehicle slammed into plastic barrels along a retaining wall.

Houston firefighters used heavy rescue equipment to get the driver and passenger out of the vehicle.

Both men were taken to an area hospital. At last check, they were stable.
