HOUSTON --The search is on for the gunman who shot and killed a 16-year-old in a southwest Houston parking lot. Police say the victim pulled his vehicle into the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 5800 block of Glenmont near Renwick. As he exited the vehicle, the victim was shot by an unknown male suspect. The suspect then fled in a dark vehicle with at least four other individuals. The victim, Kevin Quintanilla, 16, suffered a gunshot wound to the upper torso and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The suspect is described only as a Hispanic male, 18 to 20 years of age, with a medium build. He had short black hair and was wearing black clothing. Police do not have a motive for the shooting.
