Former foster child gets stolen money back

TAMPA, FL On Tuesday, federal prosecutors in Tampa who worked on the case delivered a large check for more than $400,000 to Markus Min Ho Kim at a news conference.

Kim lived with foster parents in New York City after his father went to prison for killing his mother. He was to receive the insurance money from his mother's policy upon turning 18, but authorities say his foster parents swindled him out of it and moved to Florida.

Radhames Antonio Oropeza and his wife Asia are both serving three-year prison sentences.

The 25-year-old Kim said he may use some of the money for his education.
