Houston named to list of big boom towns

HOUSTON

Austin, San Antonio, Dallas and Houston are all ranked in the top 10 as the best boom towns in the nation. Cities were ranked using data such as job growth, educated migration and attractiveness to immigrants.

Houston was ranked number 5. Austin was number 1, while San Antonio was number 4 and Dallas came in at 7.

Forbes said of the Bayou City, "with its burgeoning port and dominance of the world energy business, seems destined to become ever more influential in the coming decade."
