Police investigating death of 4-month-old baby

HOUSTON

Police say the baby's mother and father were caring for the four-month-old boy at home in the 12000 block of Northborough about 3pm on Wednesday when he was found unresponsive. The father performed CPR on the baby in an attempt to revive him. The Houston Fire Department was called and, upon arrival, emergency personnel also attempted to revive the infant. He was transported to Houston Northwest Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

The boy has been identified as Ariel Mitchell. His cause of death is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
