Suspect in fitness instructor's death returned

DALLAS, TX

Terrence Deering Black of Frisco was booked into the Collin County Jail in McKinney on Tuesday, where he was held with bond set at $1 million. Black had been fighting extradition in Arizona after jumping over an edge and falling 25 feet at Grand Canyon National Park.

Black still wears the halo brace that he's worn since his injury. Jail records do not list an attorney for Black.

Fitness instructor Susan Loper of Frisco was reported missing April 19 from a Plano country club where she worked and investigators found signs of a struggle.

Loper's body was found the next day in a wooded area near the Dallas North Tollway. Police haven't said how she died.
