Police find two men shot outside nightclub

HOUSTON It happened around 3am on FM 1960 near Red Oak. Sheriff deputies arrived at the scene and found two men shot. Both were transported to the hospital.

Adarrius Jackson, 22, was shot in the foot. He has been treated and released.

The second man, Willie Murray, 21, remains in critical condition at Ben Taub Hospital. Deputies say he was caught in the crossfire and struck in the head.

HCSO says the suspect, Joe Lewis Crawford, and an unknown suspect exchanged gunfire in a crowded parking lot located at 921 W. FM 1960.

Authorities say it was not clear who actually shot the complainants, but Crawford was identified as one of the shooters.

It's believed that an argument from another location just down the street on FM 1960 continued outside the Nite Moves afterhours club. According to officials, the shooting was between two groups of men.

Witnesses told Eyewitness News that several gunshots were fired, although it is still not clear how many shots were actually fired.

The other suspects involved in the gunfight fled the scene in a white Honda mid-90s four-door vehicle.

Crawford, 22, was charged with felon in possession of a firearm.
