Deputies: Homeowner shot teen suspect in yard

MAGNOLIA, TX According to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, a homeowner woke up around 3:20am to the sound of breaking glass at his home in the 30800 block of Meadow Wood Drive. Armed with a shotgun, the man opened the door. He told deputies he saw a suspect coming towards him in his yard. The homeowner reportedly fired his shotgun toward the suspect who then got into a vehicle with other suspects and fled.

The homeowner's wife called 911 and gave dispatchers a description of the car -- a white Cadillac with chrome wheels. Deputies pulled the vehicle over on Highway 249. They say inside the vehicle they found a 16-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to his leg and three other teens, ages 18, 17, and 16.

The 16-year-old shooting victim was taken to a local hospital, where he was admitted. No charges have been filed, pending the completion of the detectives' investigation. No charges are anticipated against the homeowner.

Addtitionally, the homeowner found tires on two of his vehicles that had been punctured.
