Detectives treating fatal shooting as home invasion

Detectives are investigating a possible home invasion that left one person inside the northeast Houston dead.

Around 4pm Friday, authorities were called out to a home in the 3900 block of Kress after neighbors saw the front door of the house open, police said.

Detectives are treating the shooting as a deadly home invasion because the victim's 2007 Dodge Charger is missing and no sign of criminal activity was found in the house.

The victim worked for KBR overseas, but that person's identity hasn't been released.
