Man found shot to death at apartment complex

HOUSTON It happened at the Windcrest at Sherwood apartments in the 1500 block of Sherwood Forest near Hazelhurst. Police discovered the man in the courtyard around 10pm. The victim, Gerardo Lugo, 20, of Houston, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was transported by private vehicle to Memorial Hermann-Memorial City Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police say Lugo went to an apartment complex at the above location to visit an acquaintance. At some point, several unknown suspects approached Lugo and shot him several times. The suspects then fled the scene in an unknown direction.
