The suspect finally ran off the road near the Eastex Freeway and Fostoria in Splendora, where he plunged the vehicle into a small lake. He then tried to hide under water before officers pulled him out.
It turns out he's wanted for failure to comply as a sex offender. Police also arrested his female passenger.
