Two brothers were recovering Saturday after both of them were shot during a fight overnight. It happened at Westbury Apartments on Gasmer at Burdine just before 10pm Friday.

It is not yet clear what sparked the fight, but authorities said a man pulled out a gun during the scuffle and shot both brothers.

One brother was shot twice in the chest and side. He went to Westbury Medical Plaza Emergency Room where officials picked him up and took him to Ben Taub General Hospital, officials said.

A bullet struck the other in the jaw. He was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital.

According to investigators, both men are expected to survive.

Police said they are questioning a person of interest in the case, but would not say if that person was the shooter.
