Firefighters busy battling different fires

HOUSTON One of them was on the north side at a home on East 31st at Airline. Crews found heavy fire at the home when they arrived around 1am and went into defensive mode. The flames also spread to a second home catching it on fire. No one lives at either house. So now arson investigators are working to find out how it started.

Another fire happened just a few hours earlier on the northeast side. Crews found flames at a house on Sparta and Bacher around 10:45pm. The home is newly built and there were two teens inside when the fire broke out. Both made it out safely. Fire crews quickly put out the flames, which were coming from the attic area. There is no official word yet on what started this fire.

The third fire was in the Clear Lake area in a garage on Shady Knoll at Plum Hollow. Around midnight, fire crews found flames coming from the detached garage. They were quickly able to put out the fire just before it reached the main home.

No one was at home. So arson investigators are looking into this case as well.
