Violent robbery captured on surveillance video

HOUSTON It happened on May 21 at around 12:35am at a Murphy Fuel Station at 4814 North State Highway 6. Store surveillance video shows the employee exiting the front door to empty trash when he was immediately approached by a male suspect.

The victim and suspect fought when a second suspect ran towards them. Both suspects assaulted the victim, striking him on the head and face with a gun.

The suspects then forced the victim back inside where investigators say they threatened to kill him if he didn't open the safe. The suspects ended up getting away with an undisclosed amount of money and fled.

The victim was transported to the hospital. He sustained a laceration to the top of his head which required stitches. He sustained a hairline fracture on his jaw and will need surgery to wire his jaw shut while it heals.

One suspect is described as a black male, 17-25 years of age, between 5-foot-5 and 5-foot-8, weighing between 130-160 pounds and with dark skin. He was wearing a black ski mask, black shirt, black shorts, and black shoes.

The second suspect is described as a black male, 17-25 years of age, 5-foot-11 to 6-feet tall, weighing between 170-190 pounds with light skin. He was wearing a black ball cap, black shirt, and dark shorts.
