Husband accused of stabbing his wife to death

HOUSTON It happened around 11pm Thursday at their home on Orleans near Catherwood in east Houston. Detectives say the man had been drinking when he began arguing with his wife, pulled a knife and stabbed his wife multiple times. The couple's three children witnessed the stabbing.

Alicia Saldana Gonzalez, 36, suffered multiple stab wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Jesus Gonzalez, 40, has been charged with murder. He was taken into custody at the scene without incident.

Homicide detectives say there is a long history of the couple fighting.
