Travelers moved to safety at North Texas airports

DALLAS, TX Dallas Love Field spokesman Jose Torres says everyone in and around the airport terminal were moved to a basement beneath the terminal. That's after high winds, lemon-size hail and radar signatures of a possibly forming tornado were observed. He said no one reported actually seeing a tornado at the airport.

Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport spokesman David Magana told KRLD-AM of Dallas and Fort Worth that people in DFW terminals and aboard planes at the gates were moved Tuesday to interior stairwells and restrooms. He said the airport may remain closed until Wednesday morning to allow crews to inspect the parked aircraft for hail damage.
