HOUSTON --Detectives need help identifying the driver of an SUV left abandoned at the scene of a fatal hit and run in southeast Houston. The accident happened as the victim was riding his bike around 12:28am on Monday March 14 in the 6900 block of the Gulf Freeway, according to a Crime Stoppers statement. The victim was struck by a 1997 white Ford Explorer with North Carolina License plate YPL-5080. The driver of the Explorer left the vehicle at the scene of the accident and fled on foot.
