A SWAT team was called out to a home in southeast Houston after authorities say a man threatened to hurt his wife and a one-year-old child.

It started around 10pm Saturday at a home on Newton near Fuqua.

A woman called police saying her husband said he was going to kill her and hurt their child.

The woman and the child were waiting outside when police arrived, but the husband had barricaded himself inside with a gun.

SWAT was called in and the standoff lasted more than two hours.

Eventually, the man started flashing the front porch light and came out of the front door with his hands up, surrendering with no shots fired.

No one was inured.

SWAT officers said they call this a good ending.
