Suspicious man prompted school lockdown

HOUSTON According to the Freeport Police Department, officers were on the scene of the school at 401 North Gulf Boulevard.

School officials say that at about 7:15am, a suspicious man walked onto the campus without a visitor's pass and was asked to leave. He left, then returned to campus, but officials were unable to locate him.

Officials immediately locked down the school and called police. Freeport police did a thorough search of the entire building and surrounding area. No intruder was found.

The school resumed normal instructional services at 10:30am.
