HOUSTON --A mother says her son shot one of three people who broke into her home Tuesday morning. It happened just before noon at a house along Kinder near Grassmere in southeast Houston. The mother told us her son was home alone when he heard someone kicking in the door. The son then grabbed a gun and started shooting. "My son was here and he heard the first boom then he went to look outside the window to see who was outside, and then they kicked it in again and then he reached for the gun, and by the time he got around to the front door, it was open and he just shot. That's what happened," said Carlyn Alexander. Two suspects got away and paramedics took the third suspect to the hospital with a wounded foot.
