Grass fire creates traffic jam in north Houston

HOUSTON The Houston Fire Department responded to a grass fire by the off-ramp interchange at I-610 and I-45 North. Firefighters were able to knock down the fire in a few minutes.

Traffic was slow in the area as people passed the smoke and burned grass.

At the time of the fire, cameras showed that HFD temporarily blocked all lanes of the exit from southbound I-45 onto the North Loop eastbound.
