Austin releases dozens more public records

AUSTIN, TX The original public information request was received by the city three months ago. The Austin American-Statesman reported Friday that an attorney for the investigative website, the Austin Bulldog, is not certain that the city has fully complied with the law.

City officials say Thursday's release concludes their open records request for emails sent last year among council members.

The Bulldog last month sued. The Austin American-Statesman also sought the records on what information is being shared by elected officials.

Bulldog attorney Bill Aleshire says the city's open records system is "horribly deficient" and who knows what other records have been withheld.
