Most wanted fugitive caught in northeast Houston

Timothy Rosales, 29, last known address: Houston, Texas. According to the DPS website, in 1988 Rosales, Jr., was charged with two counts of Aggravated Sexual Assault and sentenced to 25 years in prison. Rosales was released to a halfway house in Houston in 2007. On January 24 at 6:15 pm, Rosales fled from the halfway house where he was under electronic monitoring as a civilly committed sex offender. He was captured Thursday, April 21.

A Houston sex offender on the state's most wanted fugitives list was arrested in northeast Houston.

Timothy Rosales, 40, has been wanted since January, when he allegedly cut off his electronic monitoring device and fled from a Houston halfway house, according to a Harris County Precinct 6 statement. He had been staying at the halfway home since his 2007 release from prison for two aggravated sexual convictions.

Rosales, who had spent 25 years in confinement, was considered armed and dangerous.

He was arrested in the 7900 block of Tampico Street. He currently faces a felony charge of violating civil commitment and a parole violation charge.
