Detectives seek driver in fatal hit-and-run

HOUSTON

The man's body was found lying in a parking lot of a sports store in the 9000 block of the Southwest Freeway just before 9am Friday, according to a Houston Police Department statement. Detectives believe he was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene.

The victim, whose name has yet to be released, is in his mid 30s to mid 40s.

Authorities say so far they have no witnesses to the incident.
