DALLAS, TX --More than $100,000 has been reported stolen from a Dallas County vault. Sheriff's investigators say the money was taken from the district clerk's vault at a courthouse. The Dallas Morning News reports District Clerk Gary Fitzsimmons says the theft apparently happened last weekend and appears to be an inside job. Authorities found no sign of forced entry. The loss includes money paid to Dallas County by felons who owe fines and court costs. Fitzsimmons says insurance will cover the loss and he no longer uses the vault. The clerk's office is getting a new safe.
