One man was killed and another was recovering Saturday after falling into a creek overnight while chasing a bull, officials said. Around 11pm Friday, two men were trying to corral a loose bull near Ahrens St. and Howard Dr. in southeast Houston. They were chasing it along Berry Creek when the bull kept running and both men fell into the water.

Several people at the farm went to rescue the men. They were able to pull one man from the creek and they had a hold on the other, but he slipped and fell back into the water and drowned.

The Houston Police Department dive team searched for the man's body through the night. It was recovered around 4:30am.

The man's identity has not been released pending notification of family members.
