Woman charged for injuring trooper in accident

HOUSTON According to court documents, Shipper worked as a volunteer medic at the Houston Rodeo and stayed there March 12 after her shift and had drinks.

The court documents go on to say Shipper thought she was on I-45 headed to Huntsville at the time of the collision, but she was actually on Highway 290. Her blood alcohol content was 0.11 -- above the legal limit.

The DPS trooper suffered a severe concussion and continues to recover.
