Robber holds money loan store employee at knifepoint

Detectives are trying to identify a suspect who held a money loan store employee at knifepoint during a robbery Monday afternoon.

Detectives are trying to identify an aggravated robber who held a money loan store clerk at knifepoint while demanding money.

A man entered the store in the 4700 block of the North Freeway on Monday afternoon and pretended to be interested in taking out a loan, according to a Crime Stoppers statement. Then the suspect walked around the corner and put a large knife to the employee's neck and demanded cash.

The victim complied, and the robber ran off with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect is described as a black man with brown eyes, between 25 and 35 years of age, between 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 10 inches, and weighing 150 to 175 pounds.
