Sketches released after robbery on church grounds

HOUSTON According to Crime Stoppers, on Monday, January 3, at approximately 2pm, two people were leaving the Assumption Catholic Church with church funds. They were getting into their vehicle when two men drove up in a Dodge Caravan. The first man jumped out of the backseat of the van and knocked the victim to the ground, causing injuries to her nose, arm and leg while the second suspect waited in the van. The suspects stole the money and fled the scene in the van.

The first suspect is described as being 5'7" to 5'8", weighing 160-175 pounds, with brown eyes, black hair and a dark brown complexion. He was wearing a black du-rag.

The driver of the van is described as being bi-racial or Creole and well dressed.

The vehicle was stolen from the Spring area and was later recovered.

Anyone with information as to the identity of these suspects is asked to call Crime Stoppers.
