An accused car thief slammed into a north Houston house shortly after allegedly stealing a man's pickup truck. The victim says he just came out of the Walgreens near Veterans Memorial and Gears Road when the suspect flashed a gun and demanded his keys. That's when the victim says the carjacker asked him a question he wasn't expecting.

"Apparently it took him about 10 or 11 minutes because he didn't know how to drive. He kept asking me how do you start the car, how do you put it in drive, and I'm like, 'Don't you know this,'" the victim told us.

After his "lesson," the suspect took off down Veterans Memorial and crashed into the wall of a house a few blocks away. No one was hurt.

The carjacker managed to run away before police got there.
