Fort Bend ISD to discuss expected budget cuts

March 3, 2011 5:56:28 PM PST
The Fort Bend Independent School District is holding three Town Hall Meetings for community members to learn more about the state budget cuts and the potential impact the cuts could have on the school district.

The actual impact of the state's budget shortfall will not be known until the Legislature adopts a state budget, which is not expected until this summer.

Meanwhile, the district must proceed with planning the district budget for next school year with the presumption that it may have to be adjusted after the state adopts its budget.
