Lubbock homeless in tents to move to ministry land

LUBBOCK, TX Volunteers and the homeless on Thursday were expected to transform an old office building into an area including showers, toilets and other basic needs. The move is expected within the next two weeks.

Les Burrus with Link Ministries last week offered the fenced private property that the nonprofit group had received as a donation.

City representatives, religious leaders and some residents of the tent city met Tuesday night and agreed to the move.
