Orange County sheriff's deputies aren't releasing the identity of the suspect because of his age. However, he has been booked into the juvenile detention center in nearby Beaumont and awaits arraignment later this week in Orange.
The community of 700 residents is situated near the Louisiana border about 100 miles northeast of Houston.
