The Rockets have won four straight and their best scorer has been named the Western Conference Player of the Week. The honor goes to Kevin Martin, who is the first Rocket to be named Player of the Week since Tracy McGrady three years ago. That's a long dry spell. For the week, Martin averaged over 27 points a game, nearly five rebounds, over two assists and two steals a game.
His week was highlighted by three consecutive 30 point performances and that's the most in a Rockets season since McGrady did it back in 06-07.
In Sunday's win in New Orleans, Martin got off for 33 points and four steals. Tonight, the rockets are at Portland.
